REQUIREMENTS

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Specialism in History or a closely related subject.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and engage students.
• A valid DBS check or willingness to undertake one.
• Previous experience teaching History at the secondary level is desirable but not essential.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Position: History Teacher
• Location: Stockport
• Pay: £120 - £160 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
• Start Date: Immediate or as per your availability
• Contract: Full-time, temporary (potential to become permanent for the right candidate)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging History lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Bring historical events and figures to life to inspire a love of learning.
• Develop students’ critical thinking, analysis, and interpretation skills.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to promote improvement.
• Participate in departmental planning and school-wide initiatives to enhance the History curriculum.
