Wellington Girls’ College is looking for a HOD guidance. This is a permanent, full time role to start January 2025. 2MU & 1 MMA.
Counselling Services at WGC is part of a broader wellbeing teamworking alongside our deans and nurse. It is a friendly, supportive and rewarding environment. Counsellors receive both individual and group professional supervision.

The successful applicant will have,

• excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
• the ability to build strong professional relationships with the wider pastoral team and external agencies.
• Able to work closely with SMT on wider wellbeing policy and procedures.

The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the relevant collective agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $59,000 to $99,500, depending on applicant’s qualifications and experience. Individuals actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
Overseas applicants must hold an IQA suitable for NZ Secondary Schools and preferably a NZ teachers registratio
