PARK MANAGER BAY VIEW/MARSH HOUSE

Both Bay View and Marsh House are situated directly on the Morecambe Bay coastline with sweeping views across the bay out towards Silverdale and Grange-over-Sands. Set just below the Lancashire/Cumbria border on the outskirts of Carnforth, these parks provide an idyllic location whilst still being close to major transport links, as well as the towns and cities of Lancaster, Kendal and the Lake District.
Bay View Holiday Park offers both holiday home ownership and holiday hire in caravans, glamping pods, with touring/camping options. It hosts a variety of facilities including bar, restaurant, outdoor childrens play area, games room and shop area. Marsh House, close by, offers holiday home ownership as well as seasonal touring pitches.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Were looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Park Manager who will take day to day responsibility of both parks and holiday home sales. You will set and maintain high standards, leading small team of Housekeeping, Grounds, Maintenance and Warden staff, managing the holiday accommodation, facilities and grounds and holiday home sales. You will be hands on and lead by example to make sure all holiday homeowners and guests receive a 5-star service.
Please note that we are also recruiting for a Grounds/Maintenance Manager at Bay View/Marsh House and these two positions may be suited to a couple.
This is a live in position, with accommodation provided on park.
What hours will I work: 40 hours each week, to include evenings, weekends and school holidays
Location: North Lancashire, south Cumbria region
Rate: Negotiable dependent on experience.
Who will you report to? Managing Director

Responsibilities:

  • Managing day to day aspects of holiday homes sales, supported by the company sales team.
  • Managing Reception team, welcoming guests and owners and being the hub of the park.
  • Managing a small team of staff, leading by example, and dealing with HR issues, assisted by the People Manager
  • Overseeing on site food and beverage facilities (with primary management from head office)
  • Scheduling and leading the housekeeping team so all holiday accommodation is consistently cleaned to a high standard in time for the next guest arrival.
  • Managing the grounds maintenance of both parks to ensure that it is presented to the highest standards at all times.
  • Ensuring that all decking’s, walls and patios are completed to a high standard before handover of new holiday homes, and all maintenance requirements are dealt with promptly and to a high standard.
  • Effective communication with Head Office to establish time scales for holiday home handovers, after sales issues, housekeeping where required and other administrative issues.
  • Managing external contractors such as service engineers and 3rd party contactors.
  • Making sure all processes are followed for bookings, guest and contractor communication and health and safety management in co-operation with the Health and Safety Co-ordinator.
