Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
The HCBS Unlicensed Behavioral Health Provider plays a key role in FLACRA’s mission to provide client-centered services as identified and approved by HARP Care Management and Managed Care Organizations (MCO). This position is responsible for delivering specialized Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) to eligible clients with SUD and/or SMI. Services will be tailored to meet individual needs and adhere to guidelines outlined in the New York State HARP Adult Behavioral Health Home and Community-Based Services Provider Manual.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Unlicensed staff must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with 1–3 years of relevant experience working with individuals with substance use disorders (SUD) and/or serious mental illness (SMI), or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Certified Peer Specialist/Certified Recovery Peer Advocate or equivalent qualifications through education and/or work experience, with one year of education substituting for one year of experience.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License required.

- Effective time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm during crises.
- Proficiency in community networking and resource development.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Report client concerns to the supervisor and other treatment team members as needed.
