Home Care Aide - Vancouver

We are seeking an experienced care aide to help a female client who has Huntington’s disease and requires help with all activities of daily living. Shifts are Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm, in the Point Grey area of Vancouver.
Duties mainly include personal care and companionship. The successful candidate must have experience using a lift, and ideally a bit of experience with a feeding tube. The client is cognitively well but has lost mobility and ability to swallow. She is in a wheelchair and there is an elevator inside the home. She lives with her husband who is often at home during the weekends so you would have some support.
The client has a friendly dog. This position will be solely focussed on the female care recipient as the husband does not need any care. Please apply to learn more!

myCareBase is an online platform that connects families who are caring for an aging loved one, with caregivers looking for work. We help families and paid caregivers facilitate the recruitment, vetting and placement process.
We want to help you find more clients! You set your own hourly rates, and have control of when and where you want to work. There is no cost to be included on our platform.
Accepted candidates will go through an assessment and vetting process to ensure a consistent level of quality on our platform. This process will include a job reference check (so please be prepared to provide 2 job references) and a criminal background check.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 per week
