Position: Permanent Part-time, Monday to Friday
Location: Sydney’s Inner West (Comprehensively Insured Car required)
Salary: $28.58 - $31.35 per hour + 94c per km and travel time

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Previous experience in aged or community care preferred, or a strong desire to begin a career in aged care.
• Empathetic and resourceful, embodying Uniting’s values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness.
• Flexibility to accommodate the evolving needs and schedules of our clients.
• A provisional or full Australian driving license and access to a comprehensively insured, reliable vehicle.
• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

As a Uniting Home Care Worker, you will help us ensure continuity of care for our clients as you provide practical support and companionship for older people living in Sydney’s Inner West area. You will empower independence and improve the quality of life for our clients in their own homes.

WITH A FOCUS ON SUPPORTING OUR CLIENTS TO STAY INDEPENDENT FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

• Help at home: Assist with housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
• Transport for wellbeing: Escort clients to appointments, shopping trips, and social activities.
• Personal Care: Support with personal hygiene, toileting, showering, dressing, meal assistance, and medication administration.
