Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, and experienced chemotherapy trained Registered Nurse to join our enthusiastic and friendly team in the administration of home chemotherapy for the patients in the Dudley borough. You will be supported by the Home SACT Lead nurse and our existing team of haematologists, oncologists, specialist nurses and pharmacists. This is a new position in which the post holder will deliver high quality specialist nursing care to patients and their families within the home environment.
The successful candidate must have proven recent experience in working with SACT in both haematology and oncology patient groups and also experience in toxicity recognition and management. Previous experience in the delivery of SACT within the community would also be advantageous .
Use of own car is essential for this post.
Y ou will need to be able to meet the travel requirements of the post and be independently mobile and as such it is essential for you to possess a full category B car driving licence preferably clean or w ith no more than a maximum of 3 points
In this exciting and challenging role you will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to foster good working relationships. The ideal candidate will be an experienced nurse with the ability to work autonomously within the multi-disciplinary teams involved in the patient pathway.
