Description:
The Home Equity Processor is responsible for the processing and funding of home equity loans, reviewing to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance with existing guidelines. The Processor completes timely review of signed loan documents, recording of lien documents, core system updates and proper document storage within credit union systems. The Processor maintains all updated through the loan application process and works with third party vendors to verify that proper documentation is received and/or filed to ensure the intended collateral for the loans is able to be secured and will research and collect items that are missing.
Responsibilities:
Process home equity loan applications, prepare documents for loans that originate through frontline channels ,properly distribute disclosures, and export loans into the Core system. Validates loan data, examines documentation, identifies fraud, evaluates risk and fulfills approved transactions within delegated authority.
Export home equity loans into the core system. This includes, but is not limited to, review of signed loan documents, recording of lien documents, and core system updates. Including follow up with internal and external members to obtain signed documents to ensure proper funding.
Effectively communicate loan policy and procedural information to existing and potential credit union members regarding Home Equity products via multiple communication channels. Resolves member problems, obtains information, researches records, follows up on details, assesses member needs timely and efficiently and reports the results to the inquiring party to develop and sustain profitable member relationship.
Analyze the presented information to ensure accuracy and validity, while also obtaining all required documentation that is needed to meet established credit union guidelines. Including review of completed loan documents to ensure accuracy.
Responsible for questions/issues that arise during all stages of the process including the closing where recreating documents can occur and must do so in accordance with regulatory requirements.
