Description:
The Home Loan Specialist builds rapport and supports CTM customers throughout their home loan journey.
Through discussion, confirms the customer’s personal and financial situation, goals and needs; reviews documentation as provided by the customer via the Home Loan Platform / Salesforce and analyses their financial position; makes reasonable enquiries as needed, and then suggests lenders and products that best suit the customer’s specific circumstances, ensuring it is not unsuitable, while meeting the Responsible Lending and Best Interest Duty obligations.
Operating as the primary point of contact, is an intermediary between the lender and customer; negotiates to achieve the best outcomes; supports and works closely with the Home Loan Consultants to assist with queries; acts as a mentor to the less experienced members of the team to build skill and knowledge, identifying training needs and process enhancements.
Ensures a strict adherence to all compliance and regulatory obligations
- Communicate effectively with the customers to build rapport and trust while assisting them throughout their home loan journey through to settlement and beyond.
- Understand the needs and objectives of the customer to ensure that the lender and product options suggested are “not unsuitable” for their individual circumstances and requirements.
- Have a thorough understanding of Best Interest Duty and Responsible Lending requirements and ensure that these obligations are fully met throughout the Home Loan process.
- Maintain detailed and truthful customer records in Salesforce CRM
- Work closely with the Home Loan Consultants to assist with any credit related or customer-related queries to maintain a smooth and timely experience for both the customer and lender. e. Perform as the ultimate problem solver.
- Be a mentor and identify training needs and opportunities to increase the Home Loan Consultant’s knowledge and skills
- Continually seek best practice and process enhancements
- Have a thorough understanding of the entire Home Loan Platform and systems/technologies used, including Credit Score/Report, Property and Suburb Report, each of the journeys, Salesforce CRM, AFG FLEX, ApplyOnline, Microsoft and Google Suite of products
- Be willing to step up to assist with urgent requirements to ensure a peerless experience for customers
