Salary: $21.37 - $24.62
Contract: Full-me, Permanent
Hours: Mon – Fri (35 hrs)

QUALIFICA:ONS

• Minimum of Grade 12 educa-on
• Formal training and/or educa-on in Janitorial and / or cooking an asset
• WHMIS cer-ficate
• Must have driver’s license
• Residence in the Stz’uminus First Na-on community and knowledge of local culture and
  language preferred.

Repor-ng to the Health Manager, Homemaker works with the other members of the Home to
provide care to elders, disabled and other so they con-nue to live in their home. The care
includes ac-vi-es iden-fied as a result of client assessment that will help meet the needs of the
client. This may include personal care, providing meals, cleaning and other housekeeping
func-ons and performs other du-es as directed by the supervisor. The Homemaker will ensure
all services are provided in a caring and respecYul way in keeping with rela-ve policies and
procedures and Stz’uminus First Na-on Home Care Standards.
