HOMELESSNESS PREVENTION OFFICER

Job description
Contract Type: 1 x Permanent
Hours: Full Time 37 hours per week
Location of post: Neath Civic Centre/Hybrid working (and with a requirement to work out of other locations as required)
We are currently looking for a Homelessness Prevention Officer to join our team.
The post holder will be required to work with all local RSL’s and private sector landlords to identify tenants that may be at risk of homelessness, particularly due to rent arrears.
There will be a requirement to work with the tenants to prevent homelessness by assessing their financial situation and identify ways of ensuring tenancy sustainment such as benefit maximisation, along with signposting to relevant support agencies where any support needs are identified.
Please note you must possess minimum qualifications of 4 GCSE’s Grade A-C or equivalent.
