Horticulture Technician, St. Thomas

SUMMARY

Reporting to the Production Lead, the Horticulture Technician will care for cannabis plants in the vegetative and flowering stages. Complete all post-harvest processes including trimming, drying, curing, and packaging. Team player to develop process improvements, improve quality systems to cultivate high-quality cannabis.
Shift: Monday – Friday, potential weekend work. 7:00am until 4pm.
Job Type: FT, Permanent.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• 3 Years + Cannabis Cultivation Experience.
• Extensive Hand Watering Experience for Cannabis Indoor.
• Bachelor’s degree in plant science, horticulture, agriculture, or related field is preferred, but not required
• Strong desire to work in Cannabis Cultivation.
• Must be 18+ and able to pass our criminal background checks.

WORK CONDITIONS:

• Exposure to hot/cold/humid environment regularly

• Hand Water 700 Veg/Flower Plants Daily in Promix HP to Perfection.
• Lift 100 Lbs All day long
• High Stress / Low Stress Plant Training.
• Set up a flower room. 5 tables.
• Set up Proper Trellis
• Clones, vegetative, and flowering cannabis plant care.
• Pruning, defoliation, and toppings at different stages.
• Mix nutrient recipes, pest prevention remedies.
• Harvest, trimming, drying, curing, analytical equipment, packaging equipment, final inspection procedures.
• Ensure clean and sanitary conditions of grow rooms, equipment, and processing rooms
• Monthly staff training sessions.
• Ensure compliance with Health Canada CTLS regulations
• Adhere to set Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
• Requirement to wear company issued PPE including facemasks and respirators
• Support our workplace Health & Safety guidelines
