Description:
A Hospital in Los Angeles is in need of a Hospital Medical Collections Specialist. The Hospital Medical Collections Specialist will be responsible to manage patients’ billing and insurance related information. The role will involve liaising between patients and insurance companies, clarifying insurance benefits, and updating and maintaining the accuracy of patients’ accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Review insurance denials and appeal.
- Maintain and manage patient accounts, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Resolve billing disputes by liaising with patients, insurers, and healthcare providers.
- Perform billing and collection activities including insurance claims processing.
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing, insurance coverage and payment options.
- Review outstanding insurance balances and take necessary steps to process payments.
- Work with data management systems to monitor payments, charges, and adjustments.
