Description:

* Position is Contingent Upon Award *

Responsible for the overall management of a wide variety of Hospitality Services to include cafeteria services and conference services. The position will manage a diverse set of facility resources to satisfy customer requirements and support the daily operations for all site personnel.

  • Demonstrate leadership, daily supervision, planning and scheduling of activities/operations within event conferencing and ensure all requests and support meet customers’ expectations.
  • Demonstrate leadership of a team by ensuring cohesiveness within the unit and with the client
  • Develop, monitor and manage expenditures to control operational budgets
  • Manage schedule to incur minimal overtime based on coverage of all assigned work areas while maintaining resource availability
  • Direct daily operations in order to provide highest quality of services
  • Communicate infrastructure and staffing needs, improvements, and issues to upper management
  • Maintain and implement processes and procedures that improve efficiency and effectiveness of services
  • Establish rapport, promote partnership and fulfill the clients needs/expectations
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the trade and latest trends including related technology and hospitality services
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work nights and weekends as required
  • Promote and support workplace diversity initiatives
  • Manage personnel and provide an environment for the development and professional advancement of staff members, including on-the-job training and development opportunities, and timely performance feedback
  • Other duties as assigned.

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and four (4) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight (8) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • (U) Minimum of five (5) years’ experience managing projects of similar size, scope, and complexity
  • (U) Minimum of two (2) consecutive years of supervisory experience in Food Services or Hospitality services
  • (U) Knowledge of process improvement models
  • (U) Experience providing high quality customer service
  • (U) Demonstrated experience in managing dining services, custodial services, and hospitality functions
  • (U//FOUO) If this individual is a U.S. citizen, a Secret clearance is required; if the individual is Australian, an Australian NV-1 clearance is required
  • As a condition of employment, the applicant and all dependent family members must successfully undergo a medical and behavioral health evaluation.
