Description:
Job Introduction Sodexo Live! have a fantastic opportunity for a Hospitality Operations Support Co-ordinator to join our first-class team at Ewood Park, the home of Blackburn Rovers Football Club.
This is an exciting new fast paced role giving you the opportunity to work closely with and support the Hospitality Manager with all hospitality and events catering services. You will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of hospitality operations at the club run smoothly and efficiently, ultimately contributing to a positive and memorable experience for all guests whilst maximising the profitability of the Hospitality functions.
This will suit an excellent organiser with a passion for providing first class customer service. You will demonstrate confidence and professionalism with a proactive, hands-on approach. Flexibility is essential as the role is varied and will include Event and Function Management, Cellar Operations and Stock Control Management. Cellar operations involves physical activity and working with alcohol, including heavy lifting and moving; this role will therefore suit someone physically fit and happy to get involved.

Main ResponsibilitiesWhat you’ll do:
- Provide key operational support for the Hospitality Head of Department
- Act as the liaison between sales and operational teams, offering creative input for cutting-edge events.
- Ensure events are delivered within agreed budgets and timeframes.
- Collaborate with HR and Training teams to ensure casual staff possess the skills needed for outstanding service.
- Liaise with internal sales and clients to understand event requirements and attend key client meetings.
- Support operational teams in delivering match days and events in the BRFC calendar.
- Develop and maintain SOPs for consistent service standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advances.
- Lead by example to promote Sodexo’s Health and Safety culture.
- Duty manage functions as required
- Support matchday operations (attend all scheduled home games)
- Assist with on-site events as needed.
Typical supporting tasks include, but are not limited to: Operational Set Up, Breakdown and Spinning of Rooms, Cellar Operations, Event and Function Management, Stock Control Management, Leadership and Coaching, Rota Planning, Staffing and Training Records, Creating Event/Match Packs including Menus, POS and Display, Social Media, Process Improvement

The Ideal CandidateWhat you bring:Essential
- Good Knowledge of Events, Conference or Banqueting operations
- Good understanding of Stock Control
- Strong EPOS skills
- Strong commercial and business acumen
- Experience of working with a diverse casual team
- Excellent communication skills at all levels, internally and externally
- Resilience to manage multiple tasks and prioritise.
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative within a team environment.
- Experience in planning and management of events
- Flexible approach to working time.
- Experience in using Microsoft Office
- Good eye for detail
- Able to handle and manage alcohol.
- Willing to work with flexible working hours.
- Need to be physically able to move large amounts of equipment.
