Hostel Parent (Female and Male)

The Hostel Parent is responsible for the welfare, supervision, and guidance of students residing in the hostel. This role requires a caring, responsible, and proactive individual who can create a safe and supportive living environment for our students.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Previous experience working with young people in a supervisory or pastoral role is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Empathetic, patient, and understanding nature.
• Organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Basic first aid knowledge is an advantage.

EDUCATION:

• A relevant degree or certification in education, counseling, social work, or a related field is preferred.
• Must have completed NYSC

• Provide day-to-day supervision and support to students in the hostel.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
• Maintain discipline and order within the hostel.
• Organize and oversee various activities and programs to promote a positive hostel experience.
• Offer emotional support and guidance to students as needed.
• Manage hostel facilities, ensuring cleanliness and proper maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies and handle any incidents in accordance with school policies.
