JOB DESCRIPTION: HOSTEL RECEPTIONIST / FRONT DESK OFFICER

Position Title: Hostel Receptionist / Front Desk Officer
Location: Siesta Spaces Boracay (D Mall Palengke, Station 2, Brgy. Balabag, Malay, Aklan)
Reports To: Supervisor in Manila
Job Overview: The Hostel Receptionist / Front Desk Officer is the first point of contact for guests and visitors. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth check-in and check-out procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of any 4-year course, undergraduate is also accepted.
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and composure.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with systems.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Pleasing personality.
  • Ability to lift and carry luggage and other items as needed.
    Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Experience:

  • Front Desk Agent: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • Guest Services:
  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival and departure.
  • Provide information about the hostel, local attractions, and transportation.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Assist guests with luggage storage, tours, and activity bookings.
  • Customer Success, Reservations, and Check-In/Out:
  • Manage online (Airbnb, Facebook, Instagram other OTAs) and phone reservations.
  • Ensure smooth check in and out of guests, ensuring accurate billing and record-keeping.
  • Provide access to rooms and essential information to guests.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain accurate records of room availability and guest accounts.
  • Handle cash transactions and manage the hostel’s petty cash.
  • Liquidating the petty cash monthly.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other inquiries.
  • Sending of the daily sales on a daily basis to the finance team for recording purposes.
  • Safety and Security:
  • Monitor hostel security systems and ensure guest safety.
  • Enforce hostel rules and regulations to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all guests.
  • Housekeeping Coordination:
  • Coordinate with housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are cleaned and ready for new arrivals.
  • Report any maintenance issues or room damages to the appropriate department.
  • General Duties:
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
