General Dynamics Land Systems is on the look-out for a Hotworks Apprenticeship to join our Manufacturing Team. The successful and inclusive candidate will earn a favourable salary. This is an ideal role for someone who has a proactive and positive mindset and a keen desire to grow professionally.
Joining an established team based at our Merthyr facility, you will work across a range of stakeholders. The scheme will operate over a three year period and will enable the individual to gain an appreciation of manufacturing disciplines including Fabrication and Welding within GDUK.

Applications must be submitted by 05/01/2025 - Assessment days will be held during February 2025 for intake in September 2025

TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING:

• Be both self-motivated, act with professionalism and able to work within a team.
• Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Package applications
• Have good written and verbal communication skills.
• Be organised and able to prioritise their work.
• Be flexible in their approach to their work.
• Be able to perform tasks on their own initiative.
• Be enthusiastic and driven towards achieving their goals.
• Be interested in pursuing a career within General Dynamics.
• Awareness of IT systems
• Have good problem solving and analytical skills.
• A minimum of A-levels or equivalent./ A minimum of 5 G.C.S.E grades A-C including Math’s, English and Science
• Mature applicants (21+) without A-levels can also be considered on professional experience.
