Description:
The Royal Marine Hotel is seeking a Hotel Duty Manager to join our team.
Reporting to the Hotel Manager, the Duty Manager will oversee the running of key functions in the hotel, as well as supporting the Heads of Department in their roles.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills, drive and ambition to work as part of the Management Team.
You must have good attention to detail with the ability to make decisions and think on your feet.
You will need a solid understanding of Hotel operations and be able to work on your own initiative.
The successful candidate will have experience working in food and beverage outlets with excellent customer service skills, positive attitude and be able to work as part of a team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations of the Hotel on a day to day basis.
- Ensure quality and standards are met consistently.
- Anticipate guest needs, and proactively manage their expectations.
- Assist with the management of the hotel’s daily operations, ensuring delivery of exceptional guest service from each department.
- Have full knowledge of the hotel and all departments
- Assisting HOD’s with the management and supervision of staff ensuring standards are maintained at all times
- To ensure that all issues are handled professionally and efficiently and are followed up and resolved.
- To ensure that the premises are operating in compliance with the Health & Safety at work Act 2005 and the Hotel Health & Safety Policy
Experience/Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of Front Office and Food & Beverage procedures
- Experience using Hotsoft and/or any similar management systems
- Knowledge of cash management and accounting procedures.
- Available to work a variety of shifts included late night, early morning and weekend shifts.
- Hospitality or Management Qualifications desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Commercial and business knowledge
