Hotel Duty Manager

We’re looking for a positive, friendly & experienced Duty Manager to join the Speech House Team.
The Duty Manager is responsible for the team whilst on shift, and is the point of escalation for anything that might happen. They are responsible for the efficient running of the staff, managing the customer, and will oversee any large groups, functions or weddings as required. We’re after someone friendly, used to being in a customer facing role, and able to think on their feet and deliver a top class service to our customers. We’re looking for someone who will confidently lead a team, and manage the operation of the hotel when they’re on shift. The ideal candidate will have FoH experience.
We have 35 bedrooms, operate a fine dining restaurant, an informal dining area in the Orangery, and function facilities for weddings and conferences.
We pride ourselves on our reputation for being an independently run hotel, and we care about our staff. We offer training and development at all levels, including NVQs and college courses in food and bar management, as well as on the job training.
Variable shifts are offered but the candidate must be available to work weekends, and bank holidays. This role would be for shifts 7-3pm or 3-10pm, and work until close on certain functions.
Hospitality Experience is preferable.
