Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Hotel Marketing Manager is responsible for developing strategies for marketing the hotel to increase total property revenue and room night occupancy. This strategic marketing leader will work closely with hotel operations, sales, and property leadership teams. This position is responsible for all aspects of marketing & media strategy, planning, implementation, creative, messaging/communications, partnerships and experiential activation.
This role will also support the guest experience and will champion the creation of various platforms to support driving sales, marketing, public relations and digital at all touch points.
As a self-starter, you are highly organized and are able to manage several projects at a time, providing frequent updates to General Manager and Executive Committee while ensuring timelines for implementation of scheduled/planned marketing initiatives, campaigns, and systems are met.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:

  • 4 year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and /or MBA.
  • At least 3 years of experience in professional Marketing role.
  • Experience working with/in Hotel or Resorts.
  • High degree of awareness and understanding of sales and profit with excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Good business sense and the ability to motivate and lead a team.

  • Ability to use analytical & decision-making skills to offer options and resolve problems.
  • Ability to go between multiple systems & software programs to complete all work processes.
  • Possess a positive, professional attitude and friendly, service oriented demeanor.
  • Proficient in time management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to take initiative and effectively adapt to changes.
  • Able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, with impending deadlines and/or established time frames.
  • Performs well with frequent interruptions and/or distractions.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develops and ensures implementation of programs to continue to successfully achieve specific plan objectives and market share premiums.
  • Leverages marketing, competitive and consumer insights to inform the business, marketing plan, as well as marketing activities.
  • Provides oversight, functional and business direction to ensure the successful execution of marketing strategies and programs, in a timely fashion.
  • Develops, creates, and measures impact of marketing to include: creative asset development, marketing activation and guidelines, messaging, advertising, photography and guidelines, public relations, experiential marketing and events, website development, promotions, and marketing innovation.
  • Manages the budget throughout the year and maintains tracking and reporting of key budget operational processes and reports throughout the year.
  • Works closely with agencies, digital/social and analytics team to track and optimize marketing and media results to hit business goals.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
