Description:

You would ensure that all guests receive a warm, memorable and personalised welcome, setting the scene for their stay and ensure that guest needs are anticipated and that any requests are actioned. Complete administrative tasks accurately and within given deadlines. Be responsible for the security of the hotel and its guests over night and to set meeting and private dining rooms to agreed standard and to guests specification.

Job Requirements of a Night Porter:

  • Handles aspects of guest arrivals, check-in and departure during the evening, in the absence of the reception team.
  • Deal with guest queries and ensure they are dealt with in a professional manner
  • Handles cash payments, float and main safe in accordance with company standards, ensuring that there are no discrepancies and whenever there are, report them accordingly
  • Serve drinks on residents bar, once other staff have left the building
  • Be responsible for ensuring that the hotel runs smoothly on a nightly basis
  • Act as a Fire Officer when on duty and ensure security of the building
  • To be successful the ideal Night Porter will be well organised and detail orientated, as well as having a flexible approach and being able to adapt quickly to change. You should have proven customer service skills and the ability to anticipate guest needs, be punctual, reliable and professional with the ability to remain calm at all times.

Salary - £11.44-£13.00 DOE
Hours - 10:30PM - 7:00AM

As a Hotel Night Porter, you will be essential in providing outstanding guest services and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere during the night shift. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will utilize your core skills in hospitality and hotel experience to assist guests with check-ins, inquiries, and any special requests. Your premium skills in multilingual communication and phone etiquette will enhance guest interactions, while your commitment to customer service will ensure a memorable stay for all visitors. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous hotel experience in a night porter or similar role
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Knowledge of hospitality standards and practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively; multilingual or bilingual skills are a plus
  • Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work night shifts and handle various tasks efficiently
