Description:
A 3.5-star hotel in the heart of Cairns City, The Coral Tree Inn offers comfortable accommodations ranging from standard-style hotel rooms to self-contained suite rooms. Its facilities include a breakfast café restaurant, guest laundry, free BBQ, resort-style pool, and tour booking desk.
We are currently seeking an experienced Reception Guest Services Manager to join our team. This is a full-time position working within a busy hotel operation.
Experience required:
Required to work on 5 rostered shifts within the Front Office/ Reservations Department while also assisting in the successful operation of the department with a focus on customer service, sales, correct room allocation, revenue management, staff costs & reservation systems.
Must be available to work on a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays, & peak holiday periods. Shifts will be morning/ afternoon as this is a hands-on role.
Some experience in rostering, recruitment & performance management would be an advantage.

Self-motivated & a proactive approach
Have a strong knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Hotel PMS & a solid understanding of OTA’s extranet systems.
Tour sales and local tourism experience or the willing to learn touring products for free
Available to stay onsite in the absence of the Night Caretakers if required.
Available for emergency call-ins in the absence of the Hotel Manager
A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Hotel Assistant/ Duty Manager or Assistant Front Office Manager role is essential.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.87 – $57.74 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
