Responsibilities:

POSITION PURPOSE

The Human Resources Coordinator performs administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the Human Resources Team. The Human Resources Coordinator serves as the backup for recruitment efforts and is actively involved in the Human Resources Team’s efforts to increase employee engagement. The Human Resources Coordinator provides supervision to the Receptionist and Office Assistant and ensures there is adequate coverage of the corporate office phone.
Starting Salary Pays $45,000 and up depending on experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates and maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, staff listings, records, and documentation.
  • Assists employees in completing Open Enrollment and takes the lead in promoting employee participation and engagement in the company’s wellness program.
  • Assists the HR Team in conducting employment verifications.
  • Conducts exit interviews and works with the HR Team to glean broad themes from the interviews that can help the company become an even better place to work.
  • Makes sure every field service technician for Life Safety Services and Hughes Environmental has a REAL ID or a US passport.
  • Provides administrative support to the HR Department and answers phone calls when the Receptionist and Office Assistant is not available. Takes steps to ensure the company has proper coverage of the phone at the front desk.
  • Works with the Vice President of Human Resources and the Director of Recruitment to develop programs that engage both the corporate office staff as well as field service technicians and deployed staff.
  • Works with the Vice President of Human Resources and the Director of Recruitment on staff communications.
  • Assists the Compliance and Operations departments in completing badging requirements as needed. This may also entail providing badges for technicians and other personnel who need them to enter facilities.
  • Represents the HR Team in the production and distribution of The Wire, the company’s email newsletter.
  • May represent the company at select job fairs and recruiting events when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
