Skills & Experience
- Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work, or a related field (desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience)
- Leadership experience in services supporting children and young people, such as out-of-home care (OOHC) and Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) settings
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities, complex health needs, or behaviours of concern
- Proven ability to lead and supervise a team, embedding therapeutic care practices
- Current First Aid (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011) & CPR (HLTAID009) certificates
- A Current & Unrestricted driver’s licenc
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a House Manager, you will work in partnership with a Therapeutic Specialist and Case Manager to lead the implementation of the CARE model and ensure a safe, homelike environment that supports Young People in our care to thrive.
You will lead, motivate and mentor a team of dedicated youth support workers within a therapeutic residential setting, whilst also supporting Young People to develop independent living skills, engage in education and remain positively connected to their team of Care Workers, Families, and broader community connections.
This permanent full time position is based in Dubbo, NSW.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the home in line with the CARE model, relevant legislation, service standards and LWB policies and procedures
- Provide direct care and support to children and young people in a residential setting
- Be a visible and supportive leader in the home, offering guidance and role modelling for your team
- Oversee and implement therapeutic care plans to support the wellbeing of children and young people
- Guide your team in applying Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniques
Provide reflective supervision and mentoring to staff, fostering a strong, supportive team culture
Skills & Experience
