Description:
The Housekeeper works to ensure offices, day rooms, restrooms, and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition. The position relies on established guidelines to accomplish tasks and works under close supervision.
- Cleaning of Clinical & Non-Clinical Areas
- If associated with a Surgical Services area, the Housekeeper orders and obtains meal trays for physicians as requested, returns menus and trays to the cafeteria, ensures that physician refreshments are available at all times, communicates with supervisor regarding physician needs and concerns, delivers surgical laundry to operating rooms as needed, and assists in maintaining the surgical waiting room areas by maintaining patient and family member list. The Houskeeper in a Surgical Services area does not organize kitchen cabinets or clean refrigerators.
- Sanitation
- Maintains a sanitary environment by performing general housekeeping, organizing kitchen cabinets, cleaning refrigerator, and disposing of trash in an effort to ensure efficient departmental operations.
- Complies with mandatory regulatory and credentialing requirements and participates in continuous improvement activities as assigned in an effort to ensure health care service quality.
- Equipment Operation
- Utilizes all equipment, supplies, facilities, and resources in a prudent and efficient manner in order to ensure efficient departmental operations and the provision of high quality health care services.
- Other Duties as Assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Education - High School Diploma or equivalent
