Housekeeper - Part-time
Location: Clifton Park TC, York
Hours: 20 hours per week, Part-time

Summary:
At Clifton Park Hospital, our modern purpose-built hospital has been designed and built to offer first class medical facilities, so we need a team to uphold these standards and exceed our patients’ expectations.
Our Housekeeping team is responsible for ensuring consistently high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital; from patient rooms on the ward and operating theatres to x-ray rooms and physiotherapy, and for looking after public areas and office spaces, everyday offers something different.
The role:
As a member of the Housekeeping team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and sanitary environment throughout the hospital. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and medical facilities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control practices.
- Handle cleaning supplies and equipment safely and responsibly.
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the supervisor.
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling efforts in accordance with hospital policies.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
Hours of work:
You will be contracted to work 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 5pm to 9pm and may involve some weekend hours which is paid at an enhanced rate.
As the hospital is open 365 days of the year, you may be required to work weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
