The Temiskaming Hospital, located approximately 150 kilometres north of North Bay, is nestled upon the traditional territory of the Algonquin, Anishinaabe and Cree people along the beautiful shores of Lake Temiskaming.

TH offers a wide range of acute and post-acute care including emergency and intensive care, medical/surgical care, obstetrical, rehabilitation and complex/transitional care and palliative care services. Through regional partnerships and visiting specialists, TH is able to offer a broad range of outpatient services including dialysis and chemotherapy. In addition to the above, the Hospital offers laboratory, diagnostic imaging and mental health and addictions programs.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• Secondary School Graduate
• Ability to read, write, speak and follow oral and written instructions in English
• Willingness to perform routine tasks despite frequent interruptions
• Ability to perform tasks with due consideration for patients in vicinity
• Pushes and pulls mop, broom, vacuum cleaner, carpet extractor, floor polishers, automatic floor scrubber while scouring, waxing and cleaning

• Cleanliness and servicing of assigned areas
• Care of cleaning equipment
• Efficient expenditures of soaps, cleaning chemicals, polishes and similar supplies
• Performing duties with minimal disturbance to patients and hospital routines
• Replenishing Janitor’s closet supplies
• Disinfecting rooms and furniture
• Cleaning floors, corridors and large areas with floor scrubber and polisher
