Marlin operates a collection of lifestyle hotels, aparthotels & serviced apartments across the capital cities of Dublin and London. We have an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeping Assistant Manager to join our highly successful team here in Marlin Hotel Dublin.
Marlin hotel is looking for an experienced, standard driven Housekeeping Assistant Manager with passion, drive and enthusiasm. The Housekeeping Assistant Manager assumes full responsibility for the operation of this important Hotel function.
The primary duty will be to maintain standards while delivering a guest experience that is consistent with the Marlin’s collection values. You will proactively drive strategies to deliver product enhancements and operating efficiencies whilst ensuring highest levels of guest satisfaction is consistently exceeded. Additionally excellent communication and attention to detail will be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Head Housekeeping Manager the successful candidate will assume full responsibility of this busy department and attend communication meetings as appropriate to include daily briefings and management meetings.
  • To positively promote the Hotel’s reputation and as a destination of choice for repeat business in Dublin through exception levels of customer service.
  • To proactively plan the housekeeping department on a daily, weekly and annual basis in relation to staffing as necessary.
  • To delegate daily duties to colleagues and ensure all work areas are covered.
  • To supervise and check rooms ensuring high standards are being maintained at all times.
  • To ensure all mandatory & job-related training is completed and to the highest of standards.
  • Ensure a high standard of cleaning in bedrooms, public areas.
  • Leading, monitoring, motivating, coaching and inspiring the team, providing guidance and support.
  • Ensure there is always clear communications between departments.
  • Check all logs are completed in the maintenance and lost property reporting systems.
  • Ensure stock and linen is ordered and par levels maintained.
  • Check all stores are kept tidy, Stock control including damaged stock.
  • Work closely with the reception and reservation teams ensuring rooms are being made available as per guest requirements and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and document all cleaned areas and report and damages.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is in proper working conditions.
  • To ensure that reasonable care is taken for the health and safety of colleagues and customers and any third-party providers on site.
