- A keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards.
- Ability to work comfortably at heights, in confined spaces, and manage the physical demands of the role, including moving furniture and equipment safely.
- Previous experience in a residential care home is a plus.

Responsibilities:
ROLE OVERVIEW:
As a Housekeeping Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and tidiness across all areas of our nursing home. You will perform a variety of housekeeping tasks and maintain respectful and supportive relationships with residents.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform various housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, polishing, and mopping of all areas including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living spaces, windows, and refuse disposal areas.
- Manage domestic and hazardous waste disposal, ensuring bins are collected, cleaned, and maintained hygienically at all times.
- Handle spillages promptly and display appropriate safety signage.
- Adhere to infection control policies, keeping up-to-date with best practices.
- Report and document any issues with the premises, equipment, or any concerns affecting service standards.
- Promote and uphold person-centred care values.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cheerful, welcoming, and homely atmosphere for residents.
- Assist management during audits and inspections as required.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
