The Old Rectory is a well-established, family-run nursing home located in the heart of Ewhurst Village. We provide exceptional nursing, convalescence, palliative care, and respite services for elderly residents in our 36-bedded facility.
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Part-Time Housekeeping Assistants to help us maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and care for our residents.

    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: Up to £11.50 per hour
    Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will work closely with the Head Housekeeper to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the home, providing a safe and pleasant environment for residents while maintaining their dignity and respect.

CLEANING DUTIES:

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home, including resident rooms, communal areas, and bathrooms.
  • Respect residents’ personal preferences and handle their belongings with care and consideration.
  • Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are well-maintained and report any repairs or replacements needed.

LAUNDRY DUTIES (WHEN ASSIGNED):

  • Operate the laundry system efficiently, ensuring residents’ clothing is cleaned without damage.
  • Follow infection control measures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Return laundered and ironed clothing to the correct resident.
