Housekeeping Assistant – Zero Hours Contract

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for candidates with the following:

• Previous housekeeping experience
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures
• Good knowledg of COSHH
• Ability to work independently while following set procedures and schedules
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff across departments
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift objects for extended periods
• Eligibility to work in the UK (we are unable to provide visa sponsorship)

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Housekeeping Assistant at King Edward VII’s Hospital, you will play a vital part in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, helping us deliver a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors. We are looking for hardworking and detail-oriented individuals who are committed to upholding excellence in hygiene and infection control.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in patient rooms, common areas, and offices, following strict protocols and procedures
• Change linens, towels, and bedding items as needed
• Safely dispose of waste materials, ensuring bins are regularly emptied
• Replenish room and area supplies such as soap, tissues, and other amenities
• Report maintenance issues and any safety concerns promptly
• Adhere to infection control policies to prevent the spread of infections
• Respond to additional cleaning requests from patients or staff in a timely and professional manner
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the highest standard of care for our patients
