Red Deer Resort & Casino is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Room Attendants. In this position, you will play a key role in ensuring our guests have a clean, comfortable, and memorable stay. Under the direction of the Executive Housekeeper, the Room Attendant is responsible including but not limited to making beds, cleaning bathrooms, and changing towels. You may also need to address guest inquiries, requests and complaints in a prompt and courteous manner.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to provide a clean criminal record check
- Previous related experience preferred
- Physically able to perform all duties of the position
- Ability to follow instructions and to work independently
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work well under pressure
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is an asset
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude - Able to communicate both verbally and written in English
- First Aid/CPR preferred

Responsibilities:
- Efficiently cleans assigned number of rooms per day, keeping within departmental standards
- Must follow the Health and Safety Rules and Procedures of the hotel
- Cleans all assigned service areas keeping them clean, safe and hygienic
- Packs and replenishes trolleys to the required standard at the end of each shift; keep trolleys neat and tidy
- Advise Supervisor of stock shortages and required supplies
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests and complaints in a prompt and courteous manner
- Record lost property items left in guest rooms and provide them to the Supervisor
- Secures guest rooms, ensuring all doors and windows are closed when the room clean is complete
- Promptly report maintenance and safety hazards to the Supervisor/Manager
- Take personal responsibility for equipment, ensuring it is operated correctly and secure at all times
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all chemicals and cleaning products, and the correct handling procedures
- Attends departmental briefings, training, meetings etc., as directed by the Supervisor/Manager ensuring all relevant information is passed on
- Reports any unusual or suspicious persons/activities happening in the area of security to the manager, therefore looking after the welfare and safety of both staff and guests
- Responsible for replacing and reporting missing items in the room such as remote control, do not disturb sign, luggage racks etc.
- The immediate supervisor/manager may change your role/duties depending on the needs of the operation
- Performs other duties as required
