The Sutton Place Hotel located at the base of Revelstoke Mountain Resort is currently recruiting for the position of Housekeeping Supervisor.

Position: Housekeeping Supervisor
The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a core role in creating amazing experiences for our guests. Their leadership will set the standard of the in-suite and public area experiences we deliver our guests. They will assist with administrative responsibilities, regular daily room inspections; confirming our quality standards are being maintained and training Room Attendants, and other Housekeeping Department staff, on proper cleaning procedures, company policies and procedures.
They will monitor Housekeeping Department staff members by performing audits of skills, on-the-job observations, and inspections to determine the delivery of training. They will ensure that associates are adhering to brand standards via regular quality control checks. They will develop individual development plans and on-the-job coaching, when needed, and report progress to the Housekeeping Manager and Assistant Housekeeping Manager.
They will work with the Housekeeping Manager and Assistant Housekeeping Manager to understand the department’s training needs. They will recommend or assist in the design of targeted training programs.
They will provide training and rationale of the importance to stay within the department’s budget. (i.e., abuse of supplies, overtime, unproductive time, etc.)
They will ensure associates are participating in provincial mandated programs (i.e., WHIMIS) and will evaluate and report on position training progress.
They will assume supervisory, or staff duties as needed and perform any other duties as assigned by The Sutton Place management team.
Requirements
Must be outgoing, self-motivated, goal-orientated, with exceptional guest relations, problem-solving & organizational skills.
Have a focus on Guest Services and quality.
Minimum of 2 years experience in a leadership role.
Must have proven leadership abilities including effective people management, training, and performance management.
Requirement for exceptional communication skills.
Additional languages an asset.
