PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with housewares products and trends.
- Experience with point-of-sale systems.
- Basic math skills for cash handling.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.
- Standing: Up to 8 hours per day.
- Walking: Up to 8 hours per day.
- Reaching: Up to 4 hours per day.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Independent and reliable local travel 50% of the time.

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Mollie Stone’s Markets has an immediate need for a Housewares Clerk at our San Bruno location. The Housewares Clerk is responsible for assisting customers in the housewares department, maintaining inventory, and ensuring that the sales floor is well-organized and stocked. This role involves providing excellent customer service, offering product knowledge, and promoting sales of housewares items.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Greet customers and assist them in finding products.
- Answer questions about merchandise, prices, and promotions.
- Provide recommendations based on customer needs.
- Stock shelves and ensure displays are attractive and well-organized.
- Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies to management.
- Assist in receiving and processing incoming shipments.
- Promote sales and special offers to customers.
- Process transactions at the register accurately and efficiently.
- Keep the housewares area clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all store policies and procedures related to safety and security.
- Participate in regular inventory audits and store cleanliness initiatives.
- Assist in setting up promotional displays and signage.
