JOB DESCRIPTION

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Housing Department to learn and build on their knowledge and skills on Housing and the wider Council organization
We are looking for someone who has a good standard of education and knowledge of Microsoft packages, such as word and excel. Experience of working within a housing organization and/or working in an office environment, being able to carry out a wide range of administrational tasks. Someone who has good communication skills and has a willingness to learn and develop.

Specific duties to the role include:

  • Receive, log, distribute and track all incoming mail
  • Scan mail and documents onto Anite and distribute correctly to team/officer mailboxes and tenancy files
  • Monitor the Housing Admin email inbox
  • Follow instructions to raise purchase orders and payment of invoices obtaining authorisation from the budget holder as required
  • To assist with data inputting as necessary onto the Housing Management System
  • To work closely with the Housing Admin Assistant sharing duties and acting as cover during absences of leave
  • To monitor, log and distribute complaints and compliments and Freedom of Information Request for the Housing Service in the absence of the Data Quality and Service Improvement Team Leader and/or the Housing Admin Assistant
  • To Assist with other general administration as required
