As a policy specialist, you will work within a tenant-focused service who believe that how they do things is just as important as what is being done. You will work within this team to refine and create policy which directly impacts tenants, with a key focus on tenant safety and satisfaction through effective policy and procedure development.

Responsibilities:

YOUR NEW ROLE

You will engage with subject-matter experts, housing teams, residents, and asset management professionals to deliver a tenant-facing set of policies and procedures that ensure compliance with social housing regulator standards, housing laws, and regulations.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Knowledge of landlord and tenant law, housing regulations, and public policy context.
  • Understanding of current policy issues affecting local authorities and social housing, in particular working within the social housing sector.
  • Experience in writing complex reports on policy issues.
  • The ability to research, critically evaluate, and interpret information from multiple sources.Experience of developing asset management policies and procedures aimed at securing tenancy safety and good asset management and maintenance.
