Responsibilities:
Typical job functions Include (but not limited to)
- Creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for residents by meticulously preparing facilities, ensuring every detail is perfect for their arrival, and anticipating their housing needs in advance.
- Collaborating with the housing team to maintain a clean and welcoming environment through dedicated daily housekeeping tasks that ensure resident satisfaction and comfort.
- Addressing field inquiries regarding employee housing
- Conduct move-ins ensuring accurate completion of all paperwork and communicate housing rules, policies and procedures
- Assisting housing manager in utilizing housing software
- Advising HR and Security Manager of concerns regarding questionable resident behaviors and incident report documentation
- Facilitating and implementing emergency plans while providing support and communication to residents in the event of emergency
- Following and enforcing all employee housing rules, policies, and procedures
- Responding to tenant questions, issues and concerns
- Coordinating with Building Maintenance concerning maintenance/safety issues
- Assisting in conducting seasonal room inspections
- Assisting with distribution of room key assignments and replacement keys
- Assisting with distribution of housing memos and notices and to residents
- Assist in conflict resolution - Assist in resolving any resident conflicts through professional, courteous, and solution minded actions and behaviors and reporting to HR and appropriate department manager
- Assisting with snow removal in front of housing unit entrance areas
- Acting as primary contact and resource for all residents
- Assisting with planning cultural events for the work and travel program participants
- Sorting and distribution of mail & packages
- Other duties as assigned to support the Housing Department
Qualifications:
This position may be for you if:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Additional skills in basic building maintenance, construction and/or plumbing considered a plus.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Embrace the chance to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, adding variety and excitement to your work schedule as a Housing Assistant.
- Basic computer knowledge, MS Word and Excel required; PowerPoint preferred
- Ability to utilize critical thinking skills in decision-making situations, good organizational and record-keeping skills, and good independent judgment
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential material.
- Must have the ability to communicate and relate effectively with a very diverse group of team members.
- Must be able to lift up to and more than 50 pounds
