Housing Assistant On Call, Night Shift, On Site
The Housing Assistant will reside on the property and maintain Staff presence when Housing Management Staff are not present. The main functions of this role is after-hours emergency response, grounds upkeep, and communication with the Housing Program Manager on an as needed basis. The Housing Assistant is expected to maintain a professional and respectful manner while adhering to fair housing laws. Our staff represents and embodies the compassionate mission of the Supportive Housing Ministry which provides quality affordable housing to the most vulnerable members of our society. This position is for a 48-unit HOMEKEY project providing permanent supportive housing and recuperative care (SHARC) for homeless and low-income individuals located in Eureka, CA. Applicants must be comfortable working in a Housing First and Harm Reduction setting.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Evidence of having worked with different age groups.
• Demonstrated application of hospitality skills in any service field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate’s Degree
• Experience working in Human Services, Social Work or a related field
