Description:

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • A valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle - business insurance will be required for roles involving travel to work
  • Good understanding of the checks that need to take place on a weekly and monthly basis in shared housing projects
  • Understanding of Benefits and Housing Benefits system
  • Commitment to continuous improvement of the service and the ability to reflect on your own practice and actions.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

Ensuring a high standard of housing management across 5 properties. You will work to ensure that voids are minimised and that rent, and service accounts are maintained effectively. Collaborating closely with the refuge team, your work will ensure appropriate action is taken to address rent arrears and charges including the support of SMART payment plans which work towards savings and good financial management. Working with other teams and external agencies as needed, to ensure efficient information sharing and joint working, including attendance at internal meetings.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Ensure that the refuge accommodation is maintained to a high standard in accordance with Julian House policies and procedures, with particular reference to Health and Safety.
  • To ensure that all rent and service charge accounts are up to date, monitored regularly and that relevant action is taken in line with Julian House procedures.
  • To provide a comprehensive and focused housing management service for residents across our refuge provision.
  • To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits to ensure that residents are provided with welfare benefits advice and debt counselling and to be aware of specialist agencies in the area to which residents can be referred
