HOUSING OFFICER
Location: Greater London
Salary: £34,677 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week

Are you an experienced Housing Officer looking for a new role? If so, please keep reading.
As a Housing Officer you’ll be working across Greater London on a dispersed patch of general needs and supported housing properties, the supported housing properties are managed by specialist managing agents. .You will be responsible for delivering successful housing and tenancy management to the general needs tenants as well as overseeing the work of the managing agents..
You will ensure there is a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service and you’ll ensure that you effectively support your customers who will have varying and diverse needs.
On a day to day basis you may find yourself –
- Dealing effectively with all forms of tenancy management.
- Dealing swiftly to address tenancy breaches. Agreeing action plans and in some instances taking relevant action to enforce the tenancy conditions.
- Working closely with managing agent stakeholders across the supported housing portfolio.
- Being involved in the letting of void properties to ensure they are tenanted as swiftly as possible.
- Completing property inspections in respect of health and safety and identifying risks and completing agreed actions.
You will come to the role with a CIH or equivalent housing qualification or significant housing management experience.
You will have experience of working in supported housing or working with managing agents under a management agreement.
You’ll have a proven track record of dealing with challenging situations, taking into account a broad range of customer needs.
You will be very aware of current housing issues and practice, housing law, regulations with knowledge of leasehold and shared ownership management.
You will be confident in your communication style, able to adapt it to suit the needs of your customers.
You will have strong IT skills and have previous experience of using CRMS.
The role will require you to travel throughout the patch, so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes would be desirable.
When not out and about in the community you’ll be able to base yourself from home or the office whichever suits you. Ideal candidates will be based in the Greater London area.
