Description:

We are looking for a Team Leader to Support a Homelessness Project based in Reading, the salary is £29,000 with many benefits as well as being a rewarding role.
As the Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and success of young individuals transitioning into independent living. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Team Leadership:
  • Oversee and support the Support Team, Facilities Maintenance Team, and Housing Team.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and leadership to ensure a cohesive and effective working environment.
  1. Facilities Management:
  • Coordinate with the Facilities Maintenance Team to ensure the properties are well-maintained and meet safety standards.
  • Oversee the implementation of maintenance schedules and respond promptly to any facility-related issues.
  1. Housing Support:
  • Work closely with the Housing Team to ensure suitable accommodation is provided for young people.
  • Develop and implement housing policies that promote a supportive and nurturing living environment.
  1. Health and Safety:
  • Implement and monitor health and safety protocols in accordance with organisational policies.
  • Conduct regular assessments to identify potential risks and take proactive measures to address them.
  1. Safeguarding:
  • Lead the implementation of safeguarding procedures to protect the well-being of vulnerable young people.
  • Provide training and support to staff members on safeguarding protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a similar setting, preferably working with vulnerable young people.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and safeguarding practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
