Description:
We are looking for a Team Leader to Support a Homelessness Project based in Reading, the salary is £29,000 with many benefits as well as being a rewarding role.
As the Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and success of young individuals transitioning into independent living. Your responsibilities will include:
- Team Leadership:
- Oversee and support the Support Team, Facilities Maintenance Team, and Housing Team.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and leadership to ensure a cohesive and effective working environment.
- Facilities Management:
- Coordinate with the Facilities Maintenance Team to ensure the properties are well-maintained and meet safety standards.
- Oversee the implementation of maintenance schedules and respond promptly to any facility-related issues.
- Housing Support:
- Work closely with the Housing Team to ensure suitable accommodation is provided for young people.
- Develop and implement housing policies that promote a supportive and nurturing living environment.
- Health and Safety:
- Implement and monitor health and safety protocols in accordance with organisational policies.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify potential risks and take proactive measures to address them.
- Safeguarding:
- Lead the implementation of safeguarding procedures to protect the well-being of vulnerable young people.
- Provide training and support to staff members on safeguarding protocols.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a similar setting, preferably working with vulnerable young people.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and safeguarding practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
