JOB DESCRIPTION:

A growing property management company is looking for a highly motivated professional with a good balance of technical and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will be doing payroll processing, employee verification, and will be the main point of contact for employee questions. Working closely with the Operation Manager with all legal paperwork for tenant lawsuits and working closely with HR Consultant regarding any HR matters

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma - or the equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum 1 year of administrative experience
  • Must have initiative and be capable of independent thought and action, with good problem solving skills and ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Must have extensive knowledge of federal and state regulations including but not limited to: OSHA, ADA, EEO, Workers’ Comp, employment law, employee relations, compensation, and benefits
  • Working knowledge of PC operations, including spreadsheet and database management and ad-hoc reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with staff at all levels of the organizatio

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with timecard management and payroll processing
  • Nurture a positive working environment and define employee relations practices necessary to promote a high level of employee morale, engagement and motivation
  • Assist manager by providing clerical and research support services including document preparation and review; interviewing clients; research, investigations, and fact checking; and document preparation
  • Demonstrates organization and planning skills necessary to handle changing priorities, and numerous projects simultaneously
  • Assist with sensitive and confidential matters like personnel relations, employee information, organizational changes, and data files
  • Researches and analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; and updates the necessary documents, policies and practices of the department as assigned
  • Assemble exhibits, affidavits, and other legal documents
  • Prepare, manage, organize, and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems
  • Examine, prepare and process a variety of technical legal documents
  • Prepare contracts, including lease or rental agreements and closing documents
  • Prepare documents for eviction proceedings
  • Provide administrative, litigation, and ongoing research support
  • May serve as the company presentative in legal hearings
  • Research legal issues and supporting law by using online and offline resources.
  • Compile and analyze data
  • Serves as communication liaison between the legal unit and respondents, attorneys, and clients
