Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity as a HR Administrator! This is a fixed term position of up to 1 year to cover maternity leave and will be based at our Hospice in Cambridge. We have a full time role available, working 37.5 hours per week, but would welcome applications from candidates wishing to work the role on a part time basis too.
As our HR Administrator you will work within all aspects of HR Administration, from recruitment, performance management, absence management – no 2 days are the same!
Some main duties of the role include:
- Supporting the recruitment process by advertising roles, collating applications for short listing, arranging interviews and liaising with candidates and recruiting managers
- Undertaking pre-employment checks in accordance with the Charity’s recruitment policy
- Managing the on-boarding for new starters
- Administering employee absence
To be successful in this role you will have previous experience working within HR (or similar) administrative role, along with a good knowledge of administrative practices and procedures. It is also required to have excellent communication and customer service skills to be able to prioritise workload whilst having a good attention to detail.
You will join our small and friendly HR team and be fully supported in your role. You will have the opportunity to work in a varied role and develop your knowledge and skills along the way.
Responsibilities:
THIS ROLE HAS A STARTING SALARY OF £23,400, WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO PROGRESS TO £24,823. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SALARY QUOTED IS BASED ON FULL TIME HOURS AND NEEDS TO BE PRO-RATA’D FOR PART TIME POSTS. WE REGRET THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO NEGOTIATE SALARY ABOVE THE MAXIMUM STATED WITHIN THE ADVERT.
