Description:

Are you an organised and proactive individual with a passion for Human Resources? Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking a dedicated HR Administrator to join our dynamic HR Operations team. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential administrative support, ensuring a smooth and efficient service delivery across various HR processes.
In this role you will contribute to the overall effective HR Operations team, providing information and support to ensure a high-quality service is provided to colleagues within HR as well as across the University.

As an HR Administrator, you will:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR enquiries, advising and guiding on a range of administrative issues.
  • Draft contractual correspondence, to staff and new joiners, in an accurate and timely manner and complete the administration duties for all processes across the employee life cycle.
  • Accurately input data into University systems and databases, adhering to payroll deadlines.
  • Prioritise and manage your workload effectively, liaising with colleagues as needed.
  • Support process improvement initiatives within the HR department.

To be successful as an HR Administrator, you should have:

  • Proven relevant experience of office administration - ideally in an HR environment.
  • Experience in dealing with enquiries in a customer services setting.
  • Excellent data entry (in Word package) and the ability to prioritise a busy work load and manage multiple activities.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with a flexible, positive and pro-active approach.
