This HR Administrator Role falls within the Human Resources Department.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

In an administrative capacity, and in consultation with the Director of Human Resources, the Administrator, Human Resources is involved with the following functions:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum three years related Office Administration experience is required. Experience in a Human Resources or Financial Services Department is highly regarded.
  • Senior secondary (Grade 12) graduation, coupled with formal post-secondary training in Office Administration or HR discipline is required. A university degree or College Diploma is preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to develop professional skills (such as conflict resolution, employee relations, interpersonal skills) is needed.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills; organizational and analytical aptitude; and the ability to work as an effective team member are essential.
  • Working knowledge of relevant HRIS Systems, preferably UKG. A high level of experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to carry-out projects from start to finish, a detail-orientation, and demonstrated initiative, creativity and consideration for others when participating in Human Resources functions is essential.
    Term/Status: Full-time
    Salary: $52,000 - $55,000

Responsibilities:

Under the guidance and direction of the Director, Human Resources, the Administrator, Human Resources position works with the Human Resources Team; Directors of Programs, Quality Assurance and Projects and Policy; Finance and Administration team; Leaders and Counsellors. This may also include external, and community contacts as required, and others to coordinate the administration, implementation, and planning of core Human Resource functions. Core Human Resources functions include maintenance of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS); recruitment; social events; employee recognition; and identified special projects.
The incumbent works independently and with others to carry out these accountabilities and participates on internal committees as required. There are no positions reporting directly to the incumbent.
