The role holder will be a member of the global Core HR team and will be responsible for transactional HR activities and administration against defined service standards. They will provide a comprehensive, professional administrative service to the firm on a range of areas associated with HR administration against defined service standards.
The HR administrator will not be specifically assigned a jurisdiction, or area of the business to oversee but will support the firm globally in delivering a seamless client focused service. They will work closely with other members of the Core HR team, as well as the HR Business Partners.
We are looking for candidates seeking a role on a fixed term basis for materity cover, for a minimum period of 8 months.
Key Responsibilities
Administration: Undertake administrative tasks associated with the completion and facilitation of all staffing movements within the business including: new starters, leavers, temporary staff, learning related activities, transfers and secondments. Duties will also include the preparation of employment contracts, processing end of probations, completing reference requests.
General Enquiries: The HR Administrator will be expected to respond to enquiries from external clients and all employees in relation to referencing, recruitment and selection and routine enquiries associated with HR; referring queries of a specialist nature to the appropriate expertise as necessary.
Invoices: Process the data to facilitate the payment of invoices and expenses relating to HR activities, ensuring the maintenance of appropriate records in line with set guidelines.
Reporting: Provide ad hoc reports, data and statistics in order to support leaders in the business. Develop a high level of expertise in operating and maintaining the HR information system, in order to provide advice to employees in its use. Assist in the collation of monthly and quarterly reporting as required.
Database Management: Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the HR database, including new starter inputting, leavers and any other changes to personal details; assist with data cleansing activities.
Payroll: Ensuring that all payroll procedures are followed and supporting the Compensation & Benefits team with the checking of the payroll.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential
- At least two years’ experience in an administrative role
- Proficient in knowledge of Microsoft software with emphasis on the knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet and Outlook.
- Experience with HR systems
Desired
- Experience of HR administration
- Educated to degree level or equivalent HR qualification
- Experience of working within a global HR team
- Experience of working in a Legal or Partnership or Professional Services environment
