Job Title: HR Administrator
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Director of HR and GM

POSITION SUMMARY:

The HR Administrator at FreezPak Logistics will play a pivotal role in supporting the HR department with various administrative functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and payroll. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion. Knowledge of California and Los Angeles labor laws is essential to ensure compliance and foster a positive work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in an HR administrative role or similar position, with a strong focus on payroll.
  • Familiarity with California and Los Angeles labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ADP Workforce Now.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding:
  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
  • Prepare and manage onboarding materials for new hires, ensuring compliance with California state requirements.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and facilitate the completion of necessary paperwork.
  • Payroll Management:
  • Administer payroll functions using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation in compliance with California and Los Angeles laws.
  • Maintain payroll records and address payroll inquiries from employees.
  • Employee Records Management:
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with California labor laws and company policies.
  • Assist in managing HR databases and systems, particularly ADP Workforce Now, to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Employee Relations:
  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding company policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Support the resolution of employee issues and conflicts, fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure adherence to California and Los Angeles labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist in preparing HR reports and metrics related to employee data and activities.
  • Benefits Administration:
  • Support the HR team in administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management in compliance with California law.
  • Training and Development:
  • Coordinate training sessions and development programs for employees as needed.
  • Assist in tracking employee training and development progress.
