Description:
JOB OVERVIEW
The Human Resource Administrator will maintain employee records, manage HR documents, update internal databases, and support the recruitment and onboarding process. This position will be a temporary position for four (4) months based out of Head Office in Sherwood Park.
REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Previous experience providing support to the Human Resources department with a focus on recruitment.
- Knowledge of Employment Laws and best practices is considered an asset.
- Certification in Human Resources is considered an asset.
- Experience with Safety Management Systems (i.e. Bistrainer) and Applicant Tracking Systems is an asset
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update employee records.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of employee data by adhering to data protection policies and best practices when managing employee records and HR documents.
- Support the recruitment process, including drafting job postings, tracking applications in the Applicant Tracking System (Arcoro) and pre-screening candidates.
- Stay up to date with recruitment strategies utilizing social networks and other platforms to find diverse candidates.
- Develop and execute employer branding and recruitment marketing campaigns to attract top talent in alignment with the company’s hiring needs and values.
- Participate in job fairs and networking events to promote the company brand and identify the best candidates.
- Administer employee reward programs, including the Scholarship program.
- Coordinate pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, as well as background checks (i.e. criminal record, reference checks)
- Provide support to new hires with onboarding/orientation.
- Maintain and track employee leaves (i.e. Maternity/Paternity Leave, Apprentice Leave, etc.)
- Review and approve transfers, terminations, new hire, etc.
- Provide administrative support by drafting memos, letters, and other HR related documents.
- Maintain an inventory of company promotional materials for career fairs and new hire onboarding.
