Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a proactive, strong, versatile and enthusiastic Human Resources Administrator based out of our Airdrie, AB office. In this operations-based HR role, you will not only be responsible for maintaining and updating our HRIS system (UKG) with employee information but also be the first point of contact for employee concerns. You will manage the HR inbox, assist with HR documents, WCB administration, recruitment, coordinating and booking drug & alcohol testing, answering employee enquiries among other various HR related duties.

HP

Education: HR or Business Administrative Certificate or Diploma.
Experience: 2 – 4 years minimum of direct HR experience.
UKG experience is a must
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for all employee enquiries
  • Maintain the HR inbox
  • Update and maintain the Company HRIS system (UKG) – as United Safety relies on a large volume of “casual labour” during times of heavy recruitment, timely data entry is critical
  • Assist in the recruitment process as required
  • Prepare HR documents such as employment verifications, letters of experience, offer letters and such
  • Administration of the Company`s Drug & Alcohol testing requirement, which includes setting up appointments and coordinating the notification of test results as well as pulling clearance letters
  • Assist with WCB administration
  • Liaise between the employee, HR and the Payroll department
  • Provide general HR administrative assistance to the Operations team
  • Travel to site on occasion to engage with employees
  • Assist with events and our recognition program
  • Other miscellaneous duties as required
